Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean, and furnished with lovely Chinese-style furniture. However, the ventilation could be improved in some areas. The service was top-notch, with a very friendly and helpful staff. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The dining experience was good overall, offering a nice selection of European and Chinese dishes. The facilities were satisfactory, but there were some minor cleanliness issues in the rooms.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although small, offered a lovely view of the internal hotel court. The service was top-notch, especially from the bell desk and fountain bar staff. The location was a bit poor, but the proximity to major attractions was convenient. The dining options were good but on the expensive side. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The internal atrium-facing suite provided a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, although there were some issues with cleanliness and amenities. The staff was helpful in organizing transportation but provided inaccurate information about nearby sites. The location was convenient for sightseeing but geared more towards Chinese travelers. The dining experience was above average but on the expensive side. The facilities were satisfactory.
I couldn't have asked for a better location in Beijing. The Grand Hotel Beijing sits right next to Wangfujing station on Line 1 of the metro, making it a breeze to get around the city, including to the Olympic area. The hotel embraces a luxurious sixties Chinese vibe, just a stone's throw away from Tiananmen Square and a short walk to the Forbidden City. However, the dining options, though above average, lean towards the pricey side, especially when factoring in a £17.80 breakfast. The rooms, though a bit worn out, were spacious and tastefully decorated with some lovely antique furniture.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although a bit old in style, were suitable for our trip to ancient China. The noise issue was resolved after some inconvenience, but the view of Beijing added a nice touch. The service was friendly and accommodating, especially with flight changes, but the price for some services seemed steep. The location was excellent, with many attractions within walking distance. However, there were concerns about flooding risks in the area. The dining experience was impressive, although slightly overpriced. The hotel facilities were satisfactory, but some areas could use an update.
